RadTech2020Our team is headed to Orlando, Florida March 8 – 11 for RadTech 2020. While at the event, we’ll be showcasing Promerus’ unique ability to tailor the electrical, mechanical, optical and thermal properties of polymers for application-specific environments.

1. Introduction to the Basics of UV/EB Curing 

UV and EB curing uses electron beam (EB), ultraviolet (UV) or visible light to polymerize a combination of monomers and oligomers onto a substrate to formulate into adhesives, coatings, inks or other products.

In the presentation titled, Introduction to the Basics of UV/EB Curing, Dr. Mike J. Idacavage, founder of Radical Curing LLC will overview the UV and EB curing process, along with relevant coating compositions.

The future of photoinitiators looks promising with opportunities in UV cured adhesives, coatings and inks.

In the presentation titled, The Future of Photoinitiators and New UV+EB Raw Materials, a panel discussion will focus on advancements in the industry, including improved performance of UV cured coating photoinitiators in electronic assembly and adhesive technology.

3. Use of High Refractive Index Materials in Display and Optical Devices

High refractive index materials with optical clarity and solution processability enable the next generation of display, lighting and optical applications.

In the presentation titled, Use of High Refractive Index Materials in Display and Optical Devices, Selina Monickam, product development manager at Pixelligent Technologies, LLC, will offer an exclusive look into Pixelligent’s PixClear® nanocomposites, which deliver unmatched field of view and light outcoupling for display and optical devices. She’ll also explain how these nanocrystals are compatible with many polymer systems including acrylics, epoxies and silicones to increase the refractive index of the polymer.
