Conference

As conference season approaches, preparations loom around the corner. Our team is gearing up to attend this year’s IdTechEx Show! in Berlin, Germany April 10 – 11. While there, we’ll be showcasing how Promerus can tailor polymer properties for application-specific requirements.

Outside of exhibiting, our team is planning to take advantage of the keynote presentations to hear all about the latest inventions across the value chain. With over 250 presenters, you won’t want to miss out on this exciting opportunity to connect emerging technologies with global brands, including Promerus.

Planning to attend this year’s conference? Take a look at our list of must-see presentations below.

1. Printed Electronics: Status of The Industry 2019 - 2029 (Raghu Das)

What trends are likely to impact the printed electronics industry in the next five years? Ten years?

In the presentation titled, Printed Electronics: Status of The Industry 2019-2029, Raghu Das, CEO at IDTechEx, will evaluate the gains being made in today’s applications, including displays, power, sensors and logic and energy harvesting. He’ll also assess high-growth markets for advanced materials.

If you’re interested in learning about the future of the printed electronics industry, this is the session for you.

2. Next Gen MEMS Sensors: Smart and Ultra-Low Power (Wolfgang Schmitt-Hahn)

As manufacturers deploy microelectromechanical sensors and systems (MEMS), an intensifying demand for devices that are smaller, lighter and thinner heightens among consumers.

In the presentation titled, Next Gen MEMS Sensors: Smart and Ultra-Low Power, Wolfgang Schmitt-Hahn, senior manager of strategic marketing at Bosch Sensortec will examine how to design low power, high sensitivity Internet of Things (IoT) applications. This presentation will also touch on CE MEMS sensors, and how design requirements are getting stricter in consumer electronics.

If you’re interested in learning about the features and functions of these smart sensors, plus tips for aggregating data, don’t miss this session.

3. Next Generation Wearables (Roelof C.W. Aalpoel)

Thanks to advances in research and development, billions of physical devices are now connected to the Internet, collecting and sharing data. Take wearables, for example. With the sheer amount of data, consumers are able to stay connected anytime, anywhere—thanks to flexible electronics.

In the presentation titled, Next Generation Wearables, Roelof C.W. Aapoel, sales representative at ScreenTec Oy will look at the current state of wearables, as well as past developments and future implications.

If you’re interested in learning about the advantages and disadvantages of wearable technology, this is the session for you.
